Job Description
Crown Staffing is now hiring a full-time Manual Machinist in St. Louis, MO!
Monday-Friday| 7:30am- 4:00pm | $20/Hr
Key Responsibilities:
● Operate manual milling machines (Bridgeports to HBM’s) and lathes (standard engine lathes to vertical turret lathes).
● Operate surface and cylindrical grinders, as well as HAAS CNC mills and lathes as needed.
● Use hand tools, micrometers (up to 6"), and calipers; company provides measuring tools above 6".
● Read and interpret engineering prints from early 1930s to present.
● Maintain excellent housekeeping practices during and after work.
● Ensure all machined parts meet required specifications and tolerances.
● Perform routine maintenance and setup on assigned machines.
● Collaborate with team members to complete jobs efficiently and accurately.
Qualifications:
● 0–4 years of machining experience; recent graduates with relevant training encouraged to apply.
● Strong print reading and blueprint interpretation skills.
● Proficient with standard hand tools, micrometers (0–3”), calipers (6”), dead blow & ball pein hammers, indicators, and adjustable wrenches.
● Versatility across different machines and processes.
● Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
● Strong organizational and housekeeping habits in the workplace.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience in both manual and CNC machining.
● Prior experience with precision measuring tools and setup procedures.
