Job Description
Our client is a manufacturer of strap, stretch, and protective packaging consumables, tools, and equipment in Gary, IN. They are currently hiring Machine Operators.
These are full-time, temp-to-perm positions! The hours are 2:45 pm-1:00am, Monday through Friday. Overtime is available weekly!
Pay will start at $21.00/hour.
What will you do:
-Set up and operate machinery on the panel line
-Thread paper into the machine
-Set up specifications for finished product
-Load paper stock onto panel line machine
-Read and interpret order specifications
-Adjust slitter blades to specification
-Set cutoff saw to correct length
-Sharpen blades as needed
-Get proper pallet size according to spec
-Keep panel line area clean and free of debris
-Assist in other areas of the plant as needed
-Set up and operate machinery on the panel line
-Thread paper into the machine

What you must have:
-2+ years of experience in machine operation
-Ability to read and understand a product master
-Ability to complete necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
-Ability to perform basic math skills including, but not limited to: Addition, Subtraction, Division, and Multiplication
-Ability to effectively read and use a tape measure
-Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
-Must comply with pre-employment background and drug screenings
-Must have reliable transportation
-2+ years of experience in machine operation
-Ability to read and understand a product master
-Ability to complete necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
-Ability to perform basic math skills including, but not limited to: Addition, Subtraction, Division, and Multiplication
