Job Description
Job Title: Lead Material Handler
Location: Hilliard, Ohio
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $22.00 – $25.00/hour (based on experience)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Material Handler to support and drive efficiency within our warehouse and production operations. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate material flow, maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting production needs through strong coordination and leadership.
This position serves as the warehouse subject matter expert for inventory control, material transactions, and system accuracy, while partnering closely with purchasing, production, planning, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily material handling operations, including picking, staging, and work order fulfillment
- Ensure accurate and timely movement of materials to support production schedules
- Maintain alignment between physical inventory and system records (NetSuite)
- Complete and oversee cycle counts to support inventory accuracy
- Process and verify all inventory transactions, documentation, and bin transfers
- Coordinate and prioritize daily warehouse activities to meet operational demands
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and material flow issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams regarding material status and production needs
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse or material handling, with leadership or senior-level responsibilities
- Strong understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), work orders, and assembly processes
- Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), shipping software, and general computer applications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced production environment
