Schedule Information
- 1st Shift: 5:00 AM–5:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 5:00 PM–5:00 AM
- 12-hour shifts
Machining Operator Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous CNC machine-operating experience preferred
- Forklift and overhead-crane experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand basic English
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to use calipers and other measuring devices
- Ability to identify nonstandard situations and respond appropriately
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to quality and equipment performance
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper equipment operation
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor automated CNC machining lines.
- Support the production of aluminum-alloy billets for forging presses.
- Ensure equipment operates within established parameters.
- Monitor product quality throughout the machining process.
- Make offset adjustments when necessary.
- Perform machine and production changeovers.
- Use forklifts and overhead cranes for material handling.
- Use calipers and other measuring devices to verify specifications.
- Complete required production and quality documentation.
- Identify and report equipment or quality concerns.
- Perform basic troubleshooting to support continuous production.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all workplace-safety, quality, and operating procedures.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
About the Machining Operator Role
Crown Staffing is hiring Machining Operators for full-time opportunities in Bowling Green, KY. Working within the Casting Department and reporting to the supervisor, this position monitors automated CNC machining lines that produce aluminum-alloy billets for forging presses.
The ideal candidate will have previous CNC experience, basic troubleshooting skills, and the ability to use calipers and other measuring equipment. Forklift and overhead-crane experience is preferred. This is a great opportunity for a dependable, quality-focused individual who is comfortable working 12-hour shifts in a manufacturing environment.
