Schedule Information
- Day shift
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- 8:30 AM–7:00 PM
- 13-week assignment
- Candidate must be available for the required 4×10 schedule
CT/X-Ray Technologist Requirements
- At least three years of relevant imaging experience
- Experience performing CT and diagnostic X-ray examinations
- Ability to prepare, identify, educate, and position patients correctly
- Experience operating CT scanners and diagnostic radiographic equipment
- Experience performing portable imaging examinations
- Ability to administer contrast when authorized and required
- Knowledge of radiation-safety and infection-control procedures
- Ability to obtain diagnostic-quality images
- Experience using PACS and electronic medical records
- Strong patient-care, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT and diagnostic X-ray examinations according to physician orders.
- Follow facility procedures and imaging-quality standards.
- Verify patient identity and explain procedures before examinations.
- Prepare and position patients for CT and radiographic imaging.
- Operate CT scanners, diagnostic X-ray equipment, and portable imaging equipment.
- Administer contrast when authorized and required.
- Obtain and evaluate diagnostic-quality images.
- Perform portable radiology examinations as assigned.
- Use patient-positioning and radiation-protection equipment correctly.
- Follow all radiation-safety and infection-control procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
- Update imaging records in PACS and electronic medical records.
- Monitor patients and communicate concerns or changes in condition to appropriate clinical staff.
- Perform additional diagnostic-imaging duties as assigned.
