Crown Staffing is now hiring full-time Marine Technician in Hazelwood, MO!
Monday–Friday | 8:00am – 5:00pm | $22–$25/Hr based on experience
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Technician to join our growing team. Our technicians have a strong background in marine service and repair. As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining watercraft to ensure optimal performance and safety. Role is guaranteed 40 hours a week, year-round, overtime available. Monday thru Friday, no evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in inboard and outboard boats, including gas engines, electrical systems, and propulsion systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs using hand tools and power tools.
- Utilize computer diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify problems.
- Conduct maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, system checks, and tune-ups.
- Install custom and after-market accessories like GPS, audio, lighting, etc.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts used.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with Service Manager regarding needs and recommendations.
- Assist the sales team by providing technical expertise on marine products and services.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a service technician required.
- Technician certification(s) from reputable tech schools or manufacturers required.
- Valid driver's license required; boating experience a plus.
- Must have your own basic tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on various types of marine equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Must be a self-motivated team player.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues professionally.
- A passion for boating and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
