Crown Staffing is urgently hiring for a Building Maintenance Technician.

Building Maintenance Technician Job Details
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $20.00/hour (based on experience; higher rate may be considered for highly qualified candidates)
Location: Columbus, OH

Building Maintenance Technician Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Previous building, facilities, or industrial maintenance experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair work
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools
  • Forklift experience preferred or willingness to obtain certification
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to follow preventative maintenance schedules and complete maintenance documentation
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach overhead, and work in confined spaces as needed
About the Building Maintenance Technician Role
As a Building Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:
  • Performing general building maintenance, installations, and repair work
  • Inspecting buildings, structures, and equipment to ensure safe operating conditions
  • Assisting with plumbing repairs and basic electrical maintenance projects
  • Preparing surfaces and completing drywall repairs and painting projects
  • Replacing fuses, light bulbs, switches, fixtures, and other building components
  • Repairing and maintaining doors, windows, and exterior building features
  • Fabricating and repairing counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures
  • Maintaining clean, organized work areas, tools, and maintenance supplies
  • Assisting Maintenance Technicians with machinery repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts while maintaining certification requirements
  • Tracking preventative maintenance schedules and maintaining accurate records
  • Communicating daily with supervisors regarding maintenance priorities and project status
  • Following all company safety policies and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Supporting a safe, clean, and efficient facility environment
