Job Description
Crown Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Associate to ensure customer orders are accurate, complete, and ready for shipment. This position is responsible for verifying orders, scanning packages, processing shipments, and operating dimensioning and labeling systems. The ideal candidate has warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, and a sense of urgency to keep shipping operations running efficiently and meet delivery deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Verify customer orders against packing lists and system records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Confirm correct product quantities, items, and packaging before shipment.
- Identify and report order discrepancies to picking, quality assurance, and warehouse leadership.
- Scan orders and packages using handheld RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Process shipments through shipping systems and ensure orders are ready for carrier pickup.
- Operate dimensioning equipment to measure package dimensions and weight.
- Ensure packages are properly labeled and meet carrier shipping requirements.
- Monitor shipping equipment and report malfunctions or operational issues.
- Stage completed orders for shipment and assist with loading preparation as needed.
- Maintain organized shipping lanes and staging areas.
- Follow shipping schedules, safety guidelines, and established operating procedures.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency while working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or distribution experience preferred.
- Ability to operate RF scanners and navigate warehouse systems.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
- Experience using dimensioning equipment or parcel shipping systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
- Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work effectively as part of a team.
