Press Brake/Forming Technician: Job Details

Monday-Thursday 6 am-3 pm, Friday 6 am-12 pm
Pay Range: $25-$35/hr based on experience

Press Break/ Forming Technician: Requirements (including PPE):

Knowledgeable of manufacturing math (bent allowance, K factors, joggle loss, etc.) and dimensions of the workpiece.
Read Travelers and understand how to route parts to the next operation.
Must be able to do setups.
Reads the Blueprint to determine a flat part layout, bend allowance, and part development.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized 5-S work station
Follow the processes from beginning to end to ensure the quality of parts
Perform quality checks on parts with common measuring tools and purpose-built tools.

About the Press Break/ Forming Technician Role

As a Press Break/ Forming Technician Member, your responsibilities will include:

Read and interpret blueprints (GD& T), mics, and calipers to comprehend work orders
Ability to identify metals /materials accurately, ensuring appropriate stock is available to start a project
Operates the power brake, which bends metal by forcing metal between the movable ram and the horizontal bed.
Position the workpiece manually to align layout marks to dies.
Select, position, and align dies in the machine ram and bed.
Set stops on the machine bed and repositions stock to run successive pieces, or to perform multiple operations
