About the Mechanic / Maintenance Technician Role
Crown Staffing is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Mechanic / Maintenance Technician to assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of food-grade tanker trucks and trailers. This role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in mechanical maintenance. No prior mechanic experience is required—hands-on training is provided to support safe, reliable equipment operation while maintaining food safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with routine inspections of food-grade tanker trucks and trailers.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks under supervision, including lubrication, tire checks, and minor repairs.
- Help repair or replace common components such as hoses, valves, gaskets, and fittings.
- Clean and maintain mechanical work areas in accordance with food-grade and safety standards.
- Identify and report mechanical or safety concerns to senior mechanics.
- Safely use hand tools and shop equipment.
- Maintain basic maintenance records and work orders.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and shop safety procedures.
Training Provided
- Basic diesel and trailer maintenance fundamentals
- Safe use of tools and shop equipment
- Preventive maintenance inspection processes
- Food-grade equipment handling and contamination prevention
- Workplace and OSHA safety practices
Qualifications
- No prior mechanic experience required
- Mechanical interest or aptitude preferred
