Job Description
Crown Staffing is now hiring a full-time Diesel Mechanic in Fenton, MO!
Monday-Friday| 7:30am- 4:30pm | $30/Hr
Key Responsibilities:
● Diagnose and Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy construction equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, boom trucks, loaders, and scissor lifts.
● Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, fluid checks, and other preventive services to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
● Troubleshooting: Identify equipment malfunctions and recommend appropriate repairs or part replacements.
● Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, including repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
● Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing tasks. Ensure tools and equipment are used safely and maintained properly.
● Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and team members to complete repairs efficiently and support project timelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
● Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician.
● Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy machinery components.
● Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
● Own a full set of mechanic’s tools.
● Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
● Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
● Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
● ASE or equivalent heavy equipment certifications.
● Experience with multiple types of heavy construction machinery.
● Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
