Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Lexington, KY
Pay: $25.00–$29.00/hour
Full-Time | Flexible Scheduling Required
Schedule Information
- Typical operating hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Saturday hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Shift schedules may vary based on operational needs and patient census
- Possible shifts may include:
- 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
- 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Full-time opportunities may include:
- 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts
- 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current LPN licensure required
- Must be licensed in the state of Kentucky or possess a qualifying Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Minimum of 2 years of current experience as a practicing LPN preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and patient volumes
- Comfortable working with patients from birth to 21 years old
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric and young adult patients under the supervision of an RN or physician
- Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations as directed
- Monitor patient conditions and accurately document observations and care provided
- Assist with patient assessments, intake procedures, and clinical support tasks
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care
- Follow all safety, infection control, and healthcare compliance standards
- Support daily clinic operations in a fast-paced environment
- Provide care using a holistic approach tailored to each patient's individual needs
