General Laborer Job Details

Pay Rate: $15.25/hr

Location: Fort Mitchell, KY

General Laborer Requirements/Qualifications

Previous warehouse, production, food processing, or general labor experience preferred.
Ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from 34–37°F.
Comfortable working in cold and wet conditions for extended periods.
Ability to lift and handle materials weighing 25–50 pounds as needed.
Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
Experience handling, sorting, inspecting, or packaging fresh produce preferred.
Ability to identify damaged or defective products and maintain quality standards.
Strong attention to detail when weighing, labeling, and packaging products.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to maintain clean and organized production areas.
Comfortable wearing required food safety protective equipment.
Work attire must comply with facility requirements, including appropriate footwear and cold-weather clothing.
Jewelry, piercings, artificial nails, and nail polish are not permitted, except for a plain wedding band.
Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic required.

About the General Laborer Role

As a General Laborer, your responsibilities will include:

Work on production lines processing and packaging fresh fruits and vegetables.
Sort and inspect produce to ensure products meet established quality standards.
Identify and remove damaged or unacceptable produce from production lines.
Assemble and package finished products according to company specifications.
Weigh, label, and organize packaged produce for shipment.
Handle fresh produce carefully to maintain product quality and prevent damage.
Assist with preparing and organizing materials for daily production operations.
Support loading and unloading activities as needed.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
Follow established food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
Properly wear required protective equipment while working in production areas.
Work efficiently with team members to meet daily production goals.
Communicate product quality concerns and production issues to supervisors.
Assist with additional produce processing, packaging, and warehouse duties as assigned.
