Job Description
Packer/Laborer
12-hour rotation shift, 6pm to 6am, $18.50/hour, Valparaiso, IN
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Keeping work areas clean and organized.
- Monitor equipment condition and communicate any deficiencies to the supervisor.
- Packing bags
- Assisting with ancillary processes (such as presses, bag filters, refeed, etc.)
- Cleaning out equipment during process changes and between batches as needed.
- Taking samples of the product throughout the whole process, and maintaining sample identification.
- Proper labeling of product bags to ensure product traceability throughout the process.
- Accurately filling out the necessary paperwork to record process information.
- Completes any other duties, as required or assigned.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of warehouse experience
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Excellent communications skills
- Strong attention to details
- Must be able to work in a team/independently environment
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be comfortable completing the same tasks for the duration of a shift
- Must be able to comply with pre-employment screenings
