Input part geometry, tooling and machining parameters into the CNC controller to generate machine paths

Perform machine setup including tool selection, fixture preparation and work offset calibration

Read and interpret complex technical drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and engineering specifications

Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers and gauges to ensure compliance

Diagnose and rectify machining issues during production runs

Manage jobs efficiently using conversational canned cycles and pre-programmed settings

Perform routine machine preventative maintenance

Proven experience in a CNC machining role with heavy emphasis on conversational programming

Understanding of speeds, feeds, material properties and cutting tool selection

Strong shop math skills

Detail oriented

Experience with specific control interfaces, i.e. Mazatrol, Fagor, Haas NGC, Hurco, preferred! 

Ability to perform basic G code editing if conversational limits are reached

Previous experience in tool & die environments
