Job Description
Crown Staffing is looking for an experienced 2ns shift Supervisor for a Plastic Manufacturing company. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred but not mandatory. A Plastic Production Shift Supervisor is a managerial role in the manufacturing sector, particularly in the production of plastic materials or products. This position typically requires overseeing a team of workers during a specific shift, ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The "bilingual" aspect means that the supervisor is proficient in at least two languages, enabling effective communication with a diverse workforce or clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Production Operations:
- Oversee and manage plastic production lines, ensuring proper machinery operation, and adherence to safety standards.
- Monitor production output, quality control, and troubleshooting during the shift.
- Staff Management:
- Manage a team of workers, including assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring productivity.
- Address any staffing issues, such as absenteeism, conflicts, or performance concerns.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure that production meets the required quality standards.
- Implement corrective actions when quality issues are identified.
- Shift Planning:
- Schedule and coordinate shift patterns to ensure optimal workforce coverage.
- Ensure shift changes are smooth and that all tasks are completed on time.
- Bilingual Communication:
- Use bilingual skills to communicate effectively with a multilingual workforce, which might include conducting meetings, translating instructions, or facilitating communication between workers and other departments.
- Safety Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of the staff.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
- Reporting:
- Provide reports to higher management regarding production performance, staffing, quality, and any operational challenges.
Qualifications:
- Language Skills: Fluency in two languages (English and Spanish).
- Experience: Background in plastic production or manufacturing, with a supervisory role being preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of plastic production machinery, quality control standards, and safety protocols.
Leadership: Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
