Crown Staffing is now hiring a Temporary Cabling Technician (Experience is required)
in Omaha & Iowa
Monday-Friday| $20-25/Hr
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician to support cabling installations in large industrial environments such as distribution centers. The role involves installing, routing, terminating, and testing copper and fiber cabling, while working safely at heights and following strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
- Pull, route, and dress copper and fiber cables in high-ceiling industrial spaces.
- Operate aerial and scissor lifts to access elevated pathways.
- Install J-hooks, cable trays, and other cable management hardware.
- Terminate Cat6 and fiber cabling; patch into panels and switches.
- Test and troubleshoot structured cabling systems.
- Follow OSHA and site safety requirements and use proper PPE.
- Label cables, complete documentation, and maintain clean work areas.
- Communicate job status with supervisors and team members.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Low Voltage or Structured Cabling Technician.
- Industrial or distribution center experience preferred.
- Skilled with aerial lift operation and cable support hardware.
- Knowledge of CAT5e/CAT6 and fiber optic cabling.
- Ability to troubleshoot and test structured cabling systems.
- Strong safety awareness and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Reliable communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Travel & Per Diem Information
Technicians may be required to travel for certain projects.
- Candidates traveling over two hours from home will be provided:
- A company vehicle
- Gas cards
- Hotel accommodations
- $50/day per diem
