Crown Staffing is urgently hiring for a Material Handler.
Material Handler Job Details
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM (Overtime possible on Friday)
Pay Rate: $17.68–$19.00/hr

Material Handler Requirements/Qualifications
- Resume and interview required.
- Must have forklift experience.
- Must be willing to train on 1st shift.
- Connector PPW required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
- Basic computer and keyboard skills preferred.
- Ability to read and understand detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
About the Material Handler Role
As a Material Handler, your responsibilities will include:
- Pull and verify materials and supplies listed on production orders.
- Deliver materials and supplies to work centers to maintain proper production flow.
- Operate a forklift to move materials throughout the facility.
- Perform pre-use inspections of material-handling equipment.
- Use handheld scanners for routing and receiving products.
- Operate an overhead crane as required.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks according to established procedures.
- Operate dock locks and follow proper loading and unloading procedures.
- Weigh and count containers as needed.
- Check containers for damage, contamination, or product deterioration and repackage when necessary.
- Dispose of scrap and move it to the proper designated area.
- Operate and maintain the chip system.
- Maintain awareness of quality hold, scrap hold, warehouse staging, and shipping staging areas.
- Verify part numbers before moving materials or products.
- Maintain proper documentation for material movement and shipping activities.
- Train new employees assigned to the area as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all ISO, safety, and housekeeping requirements.
