Job Title: Plasma Table Operator / Metal Fabrication Technician

Location: Columbus, OH
Pay Rate: $23.00 – $26.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined individual to join a metal fabrication team as a Plasma Table Operator. This position begins with hands-on material handling and support duties, with the opportunity to grow into full operation of plasma cutting and metal forming equipment. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn advanced machinery and fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials onto plasma tables, shears, and press brakes
• Clean, prep, and organize metal materials for processing
• Assist with the setup, operation, and monitoring of plasma cutting machines
• Operate industrial shear and press brake to cut and bend materials to specification
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and quality
• Perform torch head replacements and basic preventative maintenance on equipment
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation
• Ability to lift and carry 30–60 lbs regularly (team lifting for heavier materials)
• Ability to read a tape measure to at least 1/16”
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and comfort with physically demanding labor
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience with CNC plasma cutting, metal fabrication, or blueprint reading is a plus
